Take a look at how Crest Appraisal Services makes ordering easier

Way back when, a lot of our orders arrived via fax and were confirmed with phone calls once we arrived at the office. Often, in this scenario, it might of taken far too long to hear back to see if the order could be taken. Things are quite a bit different now and when an order is placed on the site, we get a text message on our phones. We often log into this site from the field and send back an e-mail confirmation – including the time and date for the inspection if we've been able to talk to the occupant.

At Crest Appraisal Services we understand it's all about "cycle time". We don't make you wait around for replies because we understand the speed at which we get things done directly effects your bottom-line. Through features on this website, we can actually speed up the entire appraisal process.

Using Technology in the Field

One of the most time consuming parts of an appraisal is gathering the data. We spend a great deal of time collecting both specific information about the subject property and general data about the local market and developing trends. Once again, technology has stepped in to help Crest Appraisal Services.

Instead of using paper forms and pencils and then re-keying all the information back at the office, don't be surprised to see us with a tablet PC or collecting data using an application written for our phones that even lets us sketch a floorplan right on the spot. Rather than using that clumsy old tape measure, we're seeing that more appraisers are beginning to use accurate laser measuring devices that also help measure hard to access areas.

All of this technology ensures that the final report is as comprehensive and conclusive as possible. This works to both our advantages by necessitating less time for call-backs and revisions. A real money saver for busy appraisal clients.

Here at Crest Appraisal Services we want you to know you have ample ways to receive your report.

Delivery of appraisals as PDF files through e-mail is definitely the standard these days. Generally our clients are most comfortable with receiving PDFs attached to their e-mail. It's much more efficient than the old days when everything was on paper. But, we've even been able to improve on e-mail with report delivery with this website.

Everyone knows how frustrating it is to lose a file. Or have you ever had problems sending or receiving an e-mail because it was too big? We've come up with a solution for those problems, too.  When we deliver an appraisal through this website, the client is e-mailed a download link to retrieve the PDF. By bypassing email completely we can get around any problems caused by file size. And the download link is good for 90 days. So if anything happens to the file, you can log back in here and retrieve it again - saving you time, since we won't even need to run back to the computer.

Digital Workfile Technology

It would be great if appraisers could never have to think about an assignment again after writing and giving it to the client. However, appraisals are employed to document the condition of a property on the inspection date. Therefore, appraisers must keep their reports for 5 years, allowing them to recall any appraisal at any time to either defend the valuation or to be used in other legal proceedings.

Here again, Crest Appraisal Services uses all the technology available to us technology to improve service. We store every part of the appraisal - notes, sketches, supporting documentation and calculations - along with the appraisal electronically, we can pull up the entire file whenever it's needed and recall just what that job was about.

We just wanted to give you a little bit of insight into how we use our technology daily. Using the right tools, along with the appraisal know-how that you've grown to expect allows the appraiser to save time without cutting corners and deliver a better product to you, our client.
